LDAG22A type transparent communication module is a channel conversion product for industrial field, it realizes signal conversion between RS485 bus and LORA-RF channel, so as to realize long-distance communication (MAN). Its other function is to rely on super capacitor energy storage to provide backup power for products connected to its RS485 bus. When there is a power failure, it can provide 6.3V-15 Coulomb of energy, and can usually support all bus devices with power failure reporting function to report power failure emergency data to the management center.
In daily operation, the product supports rail-mounted installation at the application site (1P), connects with other field products through the RS485 bus, and connects with the remote management unit (or concentrator, or RF/3G gateway) through the LORA-RF channel. When the field product reports data through the RS485 bus (9.6kbps, 1bit start bit, 8bit information bit, 1bit even parity, 1bit stop bit), the module will package the data received from the RS485 bus and send it to the RF channel for transmission To the remote management unit (the information transfer rate is about 9.3kbps). We call this the ascending process. When the management unit has data/commands sent to the field products, the module sends the data received from the RF channel to the RS485 bus for industrial field products to receive. We call it the downward process.
Regardless of the ascending process or downstream process, the module will transmit the transmitted data in packets (packets at byte time intervals, the packet length is 1-2048 bytes), and does not care about the frame format of the data (Independent of communication protocol). It is called transparent transmission, transparent transmission can be applied to scenarios of various communication protocols.
In daily operation, the product absorbs the energy of its power pin (DC-12/24V) to maintain communication, and stores part of the energy in the built-in super capacitor. In the event of a power failure, it outputs DC-6.3V voltage through the same power supply pin to support on-site products to report emergency data.
